The originally tiny village, where the local fishermen plied their trade and only a couple of surfers looking for a place to sleep strayed from time to time during the season, gained huge popularity over the past ten years. Nowadays, thousands of both locals and tourists from abroad come here searching for the perfect waves and some fun. The whole year round, on the days of the local main fiestas – or holidays – huge parties with world famous DJs and international surfing competitions are organized on the beaches. Various hotels, hostels and private apartments provide accommodation and thanks to an array of restaurants, everyone can enjoy local specialities with a view of the breathtaking Pacific sunset.
