ESPAÑOLA

The oldest of the Galápagos islands and also the most southerly located and the most often visited, the Española is a popular stop for many ships on the cruises around the archipelago. The island is a home to the endemic waved albatross. Lava lizards, sea lions and one of the largest species of marine iguanas can be spotted here. Among the main attractions remain the countless bird roosts of various species such as the swallow-tailed gulls, finches, Galápagos doves, Galápagos hawks or oystercatchers.
